Desire is a vital sign. We treat it like one.
Sexual wellness, reproductive health and vitality, including support for low libido, through a root-cause approach.

The approach
Changes in desire, arousal or comfort are common, and rarely only "in your head". Hormones, blood flow, blood sugar, thyroid, medications, sleep and stress all play a part, and each person has a different mix.
In a private visit, by telehealth or in person, without judgment, we look at the whole picture and the labs behind it. Then we build a plan that can include hormone support, nutrition, lifestyle changes and, when appropriate, prescription treatment.
What we look at

FAQ · Sexual Health
Questions, answered
01Can low libido be treated?
In most cases, yes. The first step is finding the cause, which may be hormonal, metabolic, medication-related, or linked to sleep and stress. Treatment follows the cause, so it is different for each person.
02What causes low libido in women?
Common causes include perimenopause and menopause, low testosterone, thyroid problems, hormonal birth control, some antidepressants, poor sleep, chronic stress and insulin resistance. Often it is more than one at once.
03What causes low libido in men?
Low testosterone is one cause, but not the only one. Sleep apnea, weight gain, insulin resistance, thyroid issues, alcohol, stress and medications can all lower desire. We test before we treat.
04Which treatment is best for low libido?
There is no single best treatment. Depending on what we find, a plan can include hormone therapy, local treatments for dryness, nutrition and metabolic support, sleep and stress strategies, or a change in medications in coordination with your other providers.
05Is the visit private?
Yes. Visits are one-on-one, in person at our Coral Gables office or by secure telehealth from wherever you feel comfortable, and your information is protected as health information under federal privacy law.
06Are there natural treatments for low libido?
Sleep, exercise, stress reduction, blood sugar control and correcting nutrient deficiencies can make a real difference, and they are part of every plan. When they are not enough, we discuss prescription options with you.
07Can couples come together?
Each person is evaluated as an individual patient, since history and labs are personal. Partners are welcome to join part of the conversation if you both want that.
